Children can be admitted into the school nursery either as Rising Three (the term in which their third birthday falls) or from the beginning of the term
following the child’s third birthday, depending upon the availability of places.
Admission to nursery takes place three times a year, September, January and April.
Parents interested in a nursery place for their child should complete a nursery registration form. This can be obtained from our school office.
Where availability is limited the nursery will implement the admissions criteria policy to allocate sessions.
The following priority order will be applied:
1. Children who live in the schools defined attendance area.
If places are unavailable for all those local children, then places will be given first to:
a. Those children who will have on the day of admission, a brother(s) or sister(s) at the school; and then,
b. On the basis of relative proximity and ease of access to the school as measured by the shortest available walking route.
2. Any places which remain available will then be allocated to applicants from outside the school’s defined attendance area in the following priority order:
a. Health reasons, in exceptional circumstances where there is written medical evidence that admission to a particular school is essential for the medical well-being of a child;
b. To children who will have, on the date of admission, a brother(s) or sister(s) at the school; and then,
c. On the basis of relative proximity and ease of access to the school as measured by the shortest available walking route
Attendance in our nursery does not automatically confirm a place in our school, all parents/carers need to apply via Telford and Wrekin school admissions for a school place.
