P.E. and Sport

At Meadows Primary School we aim to provide a balanced programme of activities that will contribute to each child’s physical and emotional development. We aim for children to enjoy physical education and the pursuit of sporting activities which will equip them for a healthy and active lifestyle.

Within the curriculum children take part in two hours P.E. each week covering the areas of dance, games and gymnastics. All classes within Key Stage 2 also take part in swimming lessons at HLC Secondary School.

All children within Year 6 have the opportunity to attend Arthog Outdoor Education Centre on the school residential. We also provide a number of ‘extra-curricular’ sport sessions and give the children the opportunity to attend a range of competitions against other Telford and Wrekin schools.
